FAQ

Frequently Answered Questions For DesignBee LTD

FAQ

Here you will find frequently answered questions in regards to the services that DesignBee LTD offer:

Where are you located?

We are in the heart of Greater Manchester, in a small town called Stalybridge. We work out of a studio based in Copley Mill, just off Huddlesfield Road. Do drop us an e-mail and we can schedule a meeting if you would like to discuss your design and print needs face-to-face.

What are your working hours?

We are open for collection Monday through to Friday between 8:30am and 4:30pm. We will contact you via e-mail or phone call once work is ready for collection, or if local will deliver direct to you.

Can I order over the telephone?

At DesignBee LTD we mainly only accept orders online, via e-mail or face to face. But, you can of course phone to discuss your need. All orders are invoiced and paid by either bank transfer, paypal or cash.

Your financial bridge

This is all dependant on how long design and confirmation of final file takes, in most cases we put a 5-7 working day timeline on most jobs, with many finishing up much sooner than that, but, we would rather let you know straight away timings so you can plan for prints accordingly. Design work, depending on workload will be around 1-3 working days.

Printing

What file formats can I submit?

You can upload your files to the DesignBee in the following formats: JPG, EPS, or PDF.

Make sure that your PDF file is saved directly from a graphic program in the PDF/X-standard format. In order to avoid issues with layers and transparencies in the printing process, it is advised to use the “compatibility 1.3” setting while saving your artwork.

Do my files need to be print ready?

Ideally, yes – all the accepted files must be print-ready. But, we are always here to lend a helping hand if there is anything extra that need doing before going to print. Our design services is also a good option if looking for a more professional finished product..

Recommended bleed on print ready work?

To make sure that there are no white areas on your final products, all the submitted files to DesignBee must have a 3mm bleed on each side. This means that your design (both images and graphics) should be always 3mm larger than the actual print format. Failing to do so may result in small deviations which lead to white margins.

What resolution should my files be?

Here at DesignBee, to ensure the highest quality of print we accept 300 dpi files and higher.
